What type of personal information does Biolawgy collect?

In the course of Biolawgy’s business, we currently collect and process personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics; for example, name and contact details such as email addresses, customer financial information, employee data or website user stats.

How do we get the personal information, and why do we have it?

  • Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you to assist us in providing consultancy services to you and to enable us to administer our business, we may receive personal information indirectly, from clients in connection with their instructions.  For example, in the course of seeking Biolawgy’s advice you may identify employees, officers of regulatory authorities, counter-parties and others concerned, directly or otherwise, with your business.  Where an instruction relates to a collaborative project, such as a multi-jurisdictional or policy matter, personal data such as email addresses may be processed.
  • Personal information may also be collected from Biolawgy’s own advisors for the purpose of Biolawgy’s internal administration.  When instructed, we may share this information with life science regulatory organisations, experts and other relevant individuals, including those located outside the United Kingdom.
  • In order to carry out our function, we  maintain academic and policy papers which identify authors and contributors.  We treat these as we would any other library resource.

What are the lawful bases for processing these data?

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information arise where:

  • we have a contractual obligation;
  • we have a legal obligation;
  • we need it to perform a public task;
  • we have a legitimate interest; or
  • you have granted consent.  Note that you can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting enquiries@biolawgy.com.

How do we store your personal information?

Your information is securely stored.
